I understand that this is a very broad question and appreciate any ideas anyone has on the topic.
I'm writing because the performance of our report server (when accessing the Report Manager over the web) has taken a hit lately and I'm not exactly sure why. From what I've observed, performance issues where you're watching the "Loading Wheel" go around and around can be contributed to inefficient queries. This is not what is going on here. The time from when a user clicks a link to enter a report to the time the "loading wheel" appears has grown to around 7 seconds or so. Once the loading wheel appears it pulls up the report in less than a second.
The time required during login (time from entering credentials to viewing Report Manager home screen) has also increased the same amount.
I'm pretty new to SSRS administration, so if there's some basic tips I should be aware of I'd really appreciate it!
FYI I've restarted the machine a few times to no avail.
